Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
William Ernest Henley
This is a great poem Sergio Leopoldino suggested to me at dinner yesterday night, and after reading it a couple of times I really took it to heart.  My takeaway was that regardless of the obstacles we will most definitely face in life (like the legal challenges we are currently facing) we need to overcome them and be the masters of our fate (which we will undoubtedly do in the legal cases cause we ROCK).  Sergio and I made a fantastic connection and are great friends now, I hope to meet with him again in the future!
I plan on making everyone an admin in this blog on Monday if I can so that we can all actively participate.  If you choose not to you can still comment on posts, thank you to those who have thus far!
